Ohana Counseling & Hypnobirthing is the place for you if you're looking for counseling, help with personal growth, relationships, fertility, HypnoBirthing®, HypnoMothering® or hypnotherapy. At OCH you'll find support, guidance, tools and personal and therapeutic growth!
Counseling & Clinical Hypnosis
Individual Counselling and Hypnotherapy: The rate for a 60-minute counselling or hypnotherapy session is $220. Additional time is pro-rated. This rate includes your direct time with the therapist, as well as the time it takes to create your personalized SPAs.
Couple's Counseling: The suggested session is 90-minutes, which costs $330. 60-minute sessions are also available and costs $220. Sliding fees available upon request.
Free 15 minute Phone Consultation: Phone consultations are available Monday-Friday, evenings and Saturday afternoons, by request.
Insurance Reimbursement: Check your insurance company and/or employee assistance programs for coverage with a MSW/RSW. I have my Masters in Clinical Social Work (graduate counselling degree) and am a registered social worker with the Alberta College of Social Workers, both of which insurance companies usually require. If you are wishing to be reimbursed you must check with your insurance company/EA program first to see whom they cover, what your yearly coverage is and if they have any restrictions. You will be given a receipt at the end of the counselling session, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
*You can also inquire with your accountant into having your fee be considered a tax deductible medical expense. If finances are a concern, you can pay for your first 3 appointments in one block at a reduced rate
HypnoBirthing
- HypnoBirthing groups include over 14 hours of instruction with Monica Wong, counsellor, hypnotherapist and President of the Alberta Clinical Hypnosis Society
- Personal feedback & tips from a hypnothearpist, which includes tips on how to modify techniques so they work best for your learning style and how to do your own self-hypnosis, in and outside of birth.
- An additional 2+ hours of instruction, on top of the required course hours. This allows ample time for further review of techniques, questions and in-depth discussions where desired by couples.
- A beautiful workbook that includes visualizations, information and course handouts
- The official HypnoBirthing® book
- Hypnosis/affirmations audio tracks for pregnancy and labor
- An opportunity to build community and connection with other couples
- A optional Bonus hypnosis session for minimizing/eliminating a busy mind
- A free home visit and check in with mom, partner and new baby (post-covid)
- A 10% discount off a counselling session, for those who sign up for a package
- A receipt with the instructor's professional credentials as a registered social worker, which can be submitted to a insurance company for reimbursement
